Professors Jason Chiu (AAAS) and Alejandro Villalpando (PAS/LAS) will be co-hosting a webinar on Friday, July 22nd from 2 – 3 PM entitled: “Connections, Community, and Career Adventures: Reflections from First-Generation Professionals of Color.” The webinar is a part of Cal State LA’s Early Start Program. The event features a conversation with Mona Khalil, Executive MBA (former DEI Senior Project Manager at Tesla, LinkedIn, and Yardstick Management) and Dr. Jesus Ramirez (Director of Enrollment Management Technology at Cal State LA). The exchange will highlight the different twists, turns, and encounters first-generation college students and eventual professionals of color undergo throughout their careers while centering the importance of building community.
